Singer was born on November 26, 1986 at Santa Monica California. She is the only daughter of Vincenzo Barba. The family moved to Point Pleasant New Jersey when she was just six years old. She completed her high school education within New Jersey at Red Bank Catholic High School. After that, she went to Catholic University, where she received a degree in architecture. The violin was first played at the age four, and was referred to as Violin Girl. Because of her talents that she was referred to with the title of Violin Girl. Also, she taught children in the area playing the violin. The show's sixth season, American Idol, she sang Free in the year 1976, at which time she was nineteen.
